3. Article Structure
3.1 Thematic Focus:
In the upper left corner in three languages, indicate the thematic focus under which the article is submitted:
- left-aligned;
- font Arial KZ;
- font size 10 pt;
- IN UPPERCASE LETTERS;
- bold font.
3.2 Classifiers and Identifiers:
Leave one line blank, then indicate the MRNTI code – the International Rubricator of Scientific and Technical Information (https://grnti.ru).
On the next line, for scholarly articles in the field of economics and business, indicate the code according to the classification JEL (Journal of Economic Literature) (at least three codes).
Left-aligned, Arial KZ font, 10 pt size, UPPERCASE LETTERS, bold font.
3.3 Authors and Their Affiliation
Leave one line blank, then indicate the initials and surnames of the authors (M.K. Sabiyeva). The transliteration of surnames into English must match the spelling in the international passport or previously published articles. In the absence of such data, the BSI standard for transliteration should be used.
Co-authorship is allowed only for those who have made a significant contribution to the research, its concept, development, or interpretation of results. Persons whose contribution does not meet the criteria of authorship but who provided substantial assistance may be acknowledged in the “Acknowledgements” section with a specification of the nature and extent of their contribution. All co-authors must give their consent for the publication of the current version of the article.
Leave one line blank, then indicate the full name of the organization (affiliation) and the e-mail address of each author. If the authors are from different organizations, use superscript indices to indicate affiliation with a specific institution. If all authors are from the same organization, a superscript index should be indicated only for the e-mail. The e-mail of the corresponding author is marked with an asterisk “*”, also using a superscript index. Left-aligned, Times New Roman font, 10 pt size, authors in bold, and e-mail in italics.
For example:
if the authors are from different organizations:
M.K. Sabiyeva1, M.K. Sabiyeva2, M.K. Sabiyeva3, M.K. Sabiyeva4
1D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, Almaty, Kazakhstan
E-mail: [email protected]
2D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan
E-mail: [email protected]*
3D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, Shymkent, Kazakhstan
E-mail: [email protected]
4Lublin University of Technology, Lublin, Poland
E-mail: [email protected]
if the authors are from the same organization:
M.K. Sabiyeva1, M.K. Sabiyeva2, M.K. Sabiyeva3, M.K. Sabiyeva4
D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan
1E-mail: [email protected]*
2E-mail: [email protected]
3E-mail: [email protected]
4E-mail: [email protected]
3.4 Article Title:
Leave one line blank, then indicate the article title in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, English) in CAPITAL LETTERS, font size 14 pt, Times New Roman, bold, center-aligned.
The English title must be checked by a specialist for grammar and spelling. Avoid transliterations and overly literal translations of Kazakh or Russian titles. The English title should be clear, concise, and comprehensible to an international readership. When translating into English, use terms and concepts that correspond to the internationally accepted terminology in the given scientific field.
3.5 Abstract:
Leave one line blank, then write the abstract in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, English), justified alignment, Times New Roman font, size 12 pt, normal font style.
The abstract should contain from 150 to 250 words. It must be structured and reflect the main sections of the article: introduction, methods, results, and conclusion.
The abstract should be an independent, concise description of the research, allowing the reader to understand its purpose, methods, main results, and conclusions without referring to the full text.
3.6 Keywords:
Leave one line blank, then specify from 6 to 10 keywords in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, English), separated by commas, Times New Roman font, 12 pt, italic.
Keywords should reflect the main topic of the article, the field of research, and the methodology used. Avoid overly general words and phrases. Use terms that will facilitate the article's indexing in international databases.
3.7 Main Text of the Article:
Leave one line blank, then start the main text. The structure of the main text should generally include the following sections:
- Introduction (problem statement, relevance, literature review, research objectives and tasks);
- Materials and Methods (description of materials, methodology, research design);
- Results (presentation of research data, tables, graphs, diagrams);
- Discussion (interpretation of results, comparison with previous studies, limitations of the study);
- Conclusion (main conclusions, practical and theoretical significance, recommendations, directions for future research).
The main text is formatted in Times New Roman, size 12 pt, line spacing 1.0, justified alignment, without extra spaces between paragraphs. Indentation at the beginning of paragraphs is 1 cm.
3.8 References:
Leave one line blank, then list the references. The list should be formatted according to the journal's requirements and comply with international citation standards (APA, Chicago, etc.). The chosen citation style must be consistent throughout the article.
References in the text should be given in square brackets, indicating the source number in the reference list and, if necessary, the page number, for example: [5, p. 21].
The reference list should contain only those sources that are cited in the article. Sources should be arranged in the order they are mentioned in the text.
When listing references, provide full bibliographic information: for books – authors, title, place of publication, publisher, year, number of pages; for journal articles – authors, title of the article, title of the journal, year, volume, issue, page range; for electronic resources – authors, title, URL, date of access.
Sources in Kazakh and Russian should be duplicated in transliteration and accompanied by an English translation of the title in square brackets. Transliteration should be done according to the BSI standard.
For example:
1. Иванов И.И., Петров П.П. Экономическая теория: учебник. – М.: Экономика, 2019. – 350 с. [Ivanov I.I., Petrov P.P. Ekonomicheskaya teoriya: uchebnik. – Moscow: Ekonomika, 2019. – 350 p.]
2. Smith J. Modern approaches to business management // Journal of Business Studies. – 2020. – Vol. 12, No. 3. – P. 45-60.
3.8 References
After one line space, a list of references should be provided in accordance with the international bibliographic standard APA 7th (American Psychological Association APA Style (7th ed.)).
The number of sources used should be at least 15, including no fewer than 5 foreign sources. No more than 50% of the sources should have been published more than 5 years before the publication of the current article. Preference is given to articles published in Scopus and Web of Science databases within the last 5 years. Self-citation is allowed up to 20%.
In the text, after a quotation or paraphrased source, the author’s surname in the language of the source is given in parentheses. If the article is in Russian or Kazakh, the surname is written in Cyrillic. If in English, it is written in Latin script. A comma follows, then the year of publication. If an English-language article cites a source in Russian or Kazakh, the author’s surname in parentheses is transliterated into Latin script according to the BSI standard.
Example:
Article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text (Корнилов, 2020).
If a cited source has multiple authors, their names are separated by an ampersand (&). Listing more than 4 authors in a single citation is not recommended, as it may hinder perception.
Example:
Article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text (Ivanov, Ferrari & Corbato, 2022). Article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text (Mariani et al., 2022).
If it is necessary to cite several works in one reference, they are separated by a semicolon.
Example:
Article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text article text (Mariani et al., 2022; Kemeny & Storper, 2022).
The list should be given in alphabetical order and should not be numbered. Works in English are listed first, followed by works in other languages. The font for the list is Arial KZ, font size 9, with the first line indented 0.5 cm, justified alignment with hyphenation.
Sources in languages using Cyrillic must be transliterated into Latin script, separated by a double slash. The BSI standard should be used for transliteration of author names and journal titles. On the website translit.net, you can use the program by selecting the Library of Congress system (BSI). Paste the bibliography text into the designated field and click “в транслит”.
