Content requirements:
Articles by foreign authors, as well as articles in English in the journal sections, must account for at least one-third of publications in each issue, or one article by a foreign author in English without Kazakhstani co-authorship.
Scientific articles by authors not affiliated with the publisher must account for at least 50% of publications in each issue.
In one issue, an author may publish no more than one article, including co-authorship.
The number of authors of one article should not exceed five people (except for archaeology).
Publication of articles by the same author in two consecutive issues is not allowed.
Copyright: authors retain copyright to their work but grant the Publisher the right to publish, copy, and distribute the scientific output.
Ethical oversight: the publisher strictly follows COPE’s ethical oversight policy. The entire editorial process is supervised by the editor-in-chief. Any manuscript suspected of ethical violations, including but not limited to fraud, plagiarism, and multiple submissions, will not proceed to the next editorial stage. A rigorous editorial process ensures the fairest and most objective publication decision.
Archiving and availability: submission of articles is carried out via the journal’s website: “SOCIAL SCIENCES & DIGITAL HUMANITIES” in accordance with the criteria set out in the Guidelines for Authors. Electronic versions of articles are stored in the “Archive” section of the journal’s website. The editorial board ensures the preservation of the archive and reserves the right to provide open access to full-text materials or abstracts of published articles.
Confidentiality: any manuscripts submitted to the journal will be treated as confidential materials. Manuscripts are not to be disclosed to anyone except editorial staff, reviewers, and editors involved in initial selection, peer review, processing, and preparation for publication (if accepted).
Special issue: the editorial board has the right to publish special issues in one of the journal’s thematic areas. This will enable researchers in a specific field to find and cite scientific results faster, encourage academic exchanges, and more effectively study and integrate relevant scientific achievements in the field of social and humanitarian knowledge. Guest editors may be invited for special issues.
Advertising policy: all advertisements must be approved by the publisher. Advertisements must comply with the laws of the country in which they are published. Advertising must not influence the content of the journal or editorial decisions.
